Forklift operator- Afternoons

We are seeking a hard‑working and reliable individual for a temporary General Labourer position in the manufacturing industry.

Salary Entry: $22.72/hour with a $1.25/hour premium for the afternoon shift (3:00 PM – 2:00 AM, Monday–Thursday).

Responsibilities

Assist senior loaders by placing wood blocks between the skids during truck loading.

Pick trim or small parts for truckloads (e.g., screws, closures).

Close crates of finished product using a nail gun.

Wrap finished trim using the cardboard wrapping machine or by placing larger bundles of product into crates.

Build crates using nail guns or saws.

Assist a press brake operator by handling product and loading it into the machine for proper bending.

Check the racks to ensure that product for the next day’s deliveries is not omitted.

Inspect outgoing product quality and notify a supervisor of any QC issues.

Lift up to 50 lbs.

Stand and walk continuously throughout the shift.

Be flexible in duties and support multiple departments.

Adhere to safe‑working procedures and wear the appropriate safety equipment at all times.

Maintain high standards of workmanship and efficiency.

Keep the working area clean, free from dirt and debris between tasks and at the end of the day.

Qualifications

Experience as a General Labourer or in a related manufacturing role is an asset.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.

Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience with a combi‑style forklift and overhead crane (bonus).
