Senior Nuclear Leader

Role description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Nuclear Practice Leader to join our Radiation Risk Management Practice. The role involves technical leadership and mentorship within the Canadian Resilience group, advancing radiological science and practical applications across nuclear fuel cycle projects, from mining through waste management and new reactors, and expanding business with key and emerging clients across Canada.

Role accountabilities

The successful candidate will direct technical staff, lead client programs, ensure compliance with provincial/federal regulations, liaise with clients and government officials, and drive business development. Key accountabilities include:

• Coordinating with internal and external engineers, designers, consultants, and managers
• Spearheading strategic pursuits, creating winning delivery strategies, fee projections and delivery approach
• Managing financial and program controls for monitoring, modification and forecasting
• Managing acquisition, deployment and optimization of project resources
• Driving timely service delivery, ensuring outcomes surpass client expectations
• Applying regulatory and permitting requirements across jurisdictions
• Providing high‑quality service to clients through exceptional technical and managerial skills in design, construction, and operation of radiation related facilities

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

• 20+ years of experience in Radiation Risk related planning, design, construction, operation and compliance monitoring with industrial clients
• Experience managing and directing staff
• Master’s Degree in Science/Engineering (Radiation Science, Nuclear Science and Engineering, Health Physics, Engineering, or similar field)
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience with industrial and First Nations projects
• Program Management experience; PgMP designation

Salary range: $141,000-178,000. Base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position; actual salaries may vary by location, skills, experience and qualification.
