Job Summary
Coordinate and prioritize vehicle and personnel movements to meet service and delivery requirements. Monitor fleet status and communicate updates to drivers, customers, and supervisors.

Main Duties
- Receive and process service requests, orders and dispatch instructions via phone, radio and computer systems.
- Assign drivers and vehicles based on availability, route efficiency and service priorities.
- Monitor vehicle locations and status using GPS, telematics and communication tools; update schedules as needed.
- Communicate with drivers, customers and internal teams to provide ETAs, route changes and incident updates.
- Maintain accurate logs, records and reports of dispatch activities, vehicle movements and service outcomes.
- Coordinate responses to delays, accidents or service disruptions and escalate issues to management when required.
Requirements
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in dispatching, transportation coordination or a related role.
- Proficiency with dispatch/route planning software, GPS tools and standard office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task and make decisions under time pressure.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and shift rotations as required.
