Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper for our client in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to day-to-day financial operations.
Position: Bookkeeper
Location: 200-1 Discovery PL. Winnipeg, MB
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Employment Type: Temporary / Full-Time (4 weeks, with potential for extension)
Start Date: Immediate / Ideally Tuesday or Wednesday
Wage: Competitive, based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger entries
- Manage customer invoicing and follow up on outstanding payments
- Assist with payroll processing and related documentation
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end procedures
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
