Community Nurse Practitioner for Addiction Care
CMHA Thames Valley Addiction and Mental Health Services
Transform lives as a Community Nurse Practitioner in St. Thomas, ON, focused on addiction care and withdrawal management. This part-time role emphasizes collaborative care and education. You will partner with CMHA TVAMHS and multiple healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive services to clients with addiction and mental health challenges. Your work will prioritize client-centered care and health promotion while providing episodic care as needed. This locum position requires commitment to ethical practice and ongoing clinical competence. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver addiction treatment and recovery support
- Integrate services with community healthcare partners
- Facilitate home visits when necessary
- Assist in program development reflecting evidence-based standards
- Engage in client education and health promotion activities
- Current extended class registration with the nursing college
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last six months
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Certification in narcotics prescribing required
- Accessible vehicle with insurance for job duties
