Join Our Team as a Compliance Officer!
Job Type : Permanent, Full-Time
Expected Compensation: $70,000- $75,000 per year + Excellent Benefits
Role: Existing Role
Are you ready to make a difference in the telecommunications landscape?
At the Commission for Complaints for Telecom-television Services (CCTS), our goal is to provide impartial, fair and effective complaint resolution services, data and insights to telecom and TV consumers and service providers. We offer a free service to Canadians, and we need professionals like you to help us uphold our commitment to fairness and accountability.
Why CCTS?
At the CCTS, we believe in the power of connection - both in the services we deliver and the talents we cultivate. We are more than just a dispute resolution company; we are innovators, and problem-solvers dedicated to ensuring positive experiences for telecommunication and TV consumers and service providers. If you are looking to make a real impact in a dynamic environment, you have come to the right place!
Your Role
Reporting to the Manager of Regulatory and Compliance, the Compliance Officer will be part of a team responsible for administering the CCTS’ Compliance Program. The Compliance Program monitors, and where necessary, enforces compliance with a range of CCTS requirements. These obligations of the program include: complying with the CCTS Public Awareness Plan; complying with the CCTS Procedural Code governing our complaint resolution process; disclosing certain financial information to CCTS and paying fees.
Our Ideal Candidate
Are you ready to unleash your potential in this role? If you are an analytical thinker with strong communications skills, this role may be right for you! Our ideal candidate has strong attention to detail when doing activities like auditing Participating Service Provider (PSP) activities, and making connections with CCTS compliance requirements. This role liaises with PSPs to answer their questions, provide direct support, and support them in resolution steps, so strong client service skills are a must. Further, we’re looking for someone who is able to balance proactive independence with judgement skills on when to escalate, as this role handles most non-compliance matters independently, working with the Manager, Compliance in atypical circumstances.
Take the plunge and see if this opportunity matches your unique abilities!
