Reimbursement Specialist

Cencora seeks a Reimbursement Specialist to coordinate prescription drug coverage for patients by managing insurance claims, liaising with healthcare providers, and processing funding applications. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of obtaining prescription drug coverage for patients
• Liaise with insurance companies, physician offices and healthcare professionals to maximize reimbursement outcomes
• Coordinate document submissions and paperwork to insurance companies and public/federal funding programs
• Implement financial means testing to maximize patient prescription drug coverage eligibility
• Report adverse events to assigned units and departments

Requirements

• Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years customer service experience in an office setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask under competing deadlines
• Attention to detail and problem-solving capability
• Healthcare, pharmaceutical or insurance industry experience (asset)
