Senior Contract Specialist

Cencora seeks a Senior Contract Specialist to manage contract lifecycle activities including review, negotiation, and execution. The role involves coordinating with legal, procurement, and business units to ensure compliance with corporate processes and mitigate legal and financial risk.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret contracts for legal adequacy, liability, intellectual property, payment terms, and business risk
- Negotiate contracts and subcontracts; coordinate execution and gather required approvals
- Communicate contract terms and legal implications to management and stakeholders
- Collaborate with procurement, legal, and business units to standardize templates and manage compliance
- Escalate concerns to legal; manage contract performance monitoring and reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, law, or related field
- Three to five years of direct contract management or contracting environment experience
- Ability to draft, review, and analyze contracts independently
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with analytical capabilities
- Working knowledge of Excel and company systems; attention to detail and organizational ability
- Legal background or law clerk training preferred but not required
