Teine Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will work within a team environment and report to the Director of Marketing. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate volumetric and financial accounting for Teine and third-party production.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure complete and accurate recording of crude oil transactions per crude contracts.
• Reconcile and actualize volumes per trading contracts.
• Assist with month-end accruals and actualizations.
• Perform pricing and volumetric confirmation with counterparty prior to settlement and consult with traders to resolve customer disputes.
• Send settlement statements to counterparties prior to settlement deadline.
• Maintain proper backups for audit trail and assist with gathering supporting documents and explanations for audit requests.
• Participate in monthly financial review of tariffs, loss allowance, over/short positions, as well as volumetric performance tracking of all transportation and storage agreements.
• Execute accurate invoices to customers, ensuring billing aligns with contractual terms.
• Ensure accuracy on all daily month-end producer and shipper volumetric allocations and delivery splits.
• Consult monthly with Operations management to review OPEX over short compared to budget and current forecast.
• Update daily pricing sheets and calculate monthly indexes.
• Ensure month-end pipeline and rail volumes match the Shipper's Balance Reports.
• Ad hoc analysis and reporting where necessary.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Combination of relevant experience and education will be considered.
• Minimum 2-3 years in energy commodity marketing and/or midstream industry.
• Experience with actualization and settlement processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with various marketing systems (e.g., Qbyte, Metrix, Petrotranz) is an asset.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage multiple priorities.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to establish relationships with internal operations and external customers.
• Collaborative individual willing to support others within the accounting/marketing team.
