Sales Representative- Construction markets
MacDonald Search Group
Our client is a diversified distributor of non-residential construction products in Western Canada. Since the Company was founded in 1985, they have been a trusted supplier to customers across a diverse set of industries including mechanical and electrical contracting, utilities, OEMs, municipalities, fabricators and niche re manufactured steel products. They are adding an Outside Sales Rep to the team. Service existing accounts, obtain orders and establish new business opportunities
Strategically develop, schedule and execute sales strategies
Keep management informed of competitive environment and market conditions
Complete accurate call reports, weekly work plans and territory analysis
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, visiting key vendors and attending appropriate trade shows
Bachelor or college degree preferred or 3 - 5 years minimum outside sales experience
B2B sales experience in electrical, plumbing or refrigeration a real asset
Relationship-based sales style with strong questioning skills
Entrepreneurial spirit with a solid customer service focus
Some travel required in Western Canada
An excellent salary is offered including a profit-sharing plan, vehicle expense & cell phone.
