A Senior Accountant is a mid-level accounting professional responsible for overseeing a company's financial reporting, ensuring accuracy of financial records, performing complex financial analysis, managing accounting processes, and often supervising junior staff, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations; key duties include preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, analyzing financial data, budget preparation, internal control monitoring, and assisting with external audits.
Senior Accountant
ca Recruiting Division client, a CPA firm located in North York, is searching for a Senior Accountant for their firm.
Direct communication with clients to resolve accounting and tax issues
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
Prepare corporate tax returns for a number of investment companies
CPA Designation
- 3+ years of Canadian public accounting experience
- Strong accounting experience
- Strong corporate tax knowledge is a must
- CPA Required. Public Accounting Experience at least 3-5 plus years.
Needs someone from a small to medium-sized CPA firm. Not someone from a big 4 like Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst and Young or PWC unless they are in the small business or private enterprise department.
