As a Lab Assistant, your primary role will be to independently prepare, analyze and dispose of client samples.

Track and weigh client samples for fusion and press pellet analysis;
Load and unload electrical furnaces;
Data processing and record-keeping;
Perform duties in accordance with SOP and quality control procedures;
Discard samples after analysis completed according to standard operating procedures;
Use correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality;
Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;
Detail oriented individual with a strong commitment to quality;
Intermediate English communication skills both written and verbal;
Intermediate computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Diploma or Degree in Science preferred;
Minimum of 3 months laboratory experience in analytical chemistry or related field required.

An estimated hourly pay of $21.12 CAD at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
