AECOM is seeking an Architectural Designer / Intern Architect to join our Buildings + Places team in Ottawa, Ontario. This new position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful, high-impact projects across Canada while working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Working under the guidance of licensed architects, you will support the design and delivery of a wide range of projects, including transportation, municipal, institutional, and government facilities. You will contribute to architectural design, technical documentation, project coordination, and office operations while applying building codes, zoning requirements, and sustainable design principles.

Prepare architectural designs, models, and technical drawings using Revit .

Assist in the development of design and construction documentation in compliance with applicable codes, including the Ontario Building Code .

Support project teams with coordination, documentation, and consultant integration across multiple disciplines.

Contribute to BIM standards , quality control reviews, and sustainable design practices.

Participate in design discussions, reviews, and preparation of presentation materials.

Assist with contract administration activities, including shop drawing review and coordination .

Manage and maintain accurate, well-organized project documentation and project files.

Assist with day-to-day office administrative tasks as required , such as preparing meeting.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (completed or in progress), or a diploma/certificate in Architectural Technology.

Ability to obtain security clearance .

Bilingualism (English and French).

Proficiency in Revit, BIM tools, MS Office, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Knowledge of building systems, construction detailing, and municipal approval processes.

Interest or experience in sustainable design (LEED, Envision, Passive House considered assets).

Relocation is not available for this position.
