Front of House

We are seeking an outgoing, professional, detail-oriented Front-of-House Sales Associate with a positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills. This person is an essential member of our landscape supply team here at Cambridge Garden Centre. As the first point of contact for our customers, you will be responsible for greeting customers, processing orders, handling inquiries, and providing product recommendations. Your role will be essential in ensuring a positive customer experience and the smooth operation of our front-end sales and service functions.
Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner.
Assist customers in selecting landscape materials, providing product knowledge and recommendations.
Process sales and transactions using out point-of-sale (POS) system.
Answer phone calls/email and respond to customer inquiries regarding product availability, pricing and delivery options.
Coordinate with the yard team to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk and showroom area.
Assist in creation and maintenance of sales reports, databases and spreadsheets.
Assist with administrative tasks such as data-entry, filing and auditing.
Monitor and replenish stock of inventory, promotional materials, pricelists, samples, office supplies, etc.
Address customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
Support the sales team in prospecting and identifying new business opportunities.
High School Diploma or greater.
Flexible work hours including Saturdays (during peak season)
Previous experience in customer service, retail, or sales.
Basic computer skills is required (Excel, Word, Google Maps)
Able to lift 40 pounds at any point during shift.
Option 2 : Hourly $20-$25-ideal for someone who enjoys winters off (winter lay off)
**As this is a Monday to Friday (alternating Saturdays during peak season) position, please do not apply if you are currently committed to schooling that will prevent you from being available during our business hours.
