Accounting Specialist/Payroll

Job Description

As the Accounting Analyst at Honeycomb , you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability of financial data within the organization. You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records and ensure that processes are followed and adhered to. You will serve as a technical resource within the team and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting practices.
What you’re responsible for:
Entering financial data including sales, purchases, expenses, and other routine transactions.
Performing monthly bank reconciliations and account monitoring activities.
Reconciling and managing corporate credit cards.
Preparing client invoicing, following up on payments, and issuing reminders as needed.
Monitoring accounts payable and following up on outstanding balances.
Preparing GST/QST returns, managing payroll and group insurance entries, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
Collaborating with other finance team members to ensure accurate and high-quality data.
Participating in improving accounting processes and implementing internal controls.
Qualifications

To join our team:
You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
You have 2–5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
You have knowledge of the entire accounting cycle.
You have strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
You have excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and demonstrate autonomy and initiative.
You are bilingual in French and English
You have a CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA, an asset
