Structural Engineer, Senior

AECOM Buildings Place is seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Structural Engineer to help lead buildings projects (commercial institutional light industrial facilities such as Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and Sewage Lift Stations) This position can be based out of Edmonton office with opportunities for hybrid work. Some travel to nearby cities may be required. AECOM Buildings Places Canada (BP Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture all the buildings engineering disciplines landscape architecture urban planning urban design economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Project assignments may include although not limited to: Municipal Commercial Institutional projects Justice Education and Government.

Independently perform structural analysis and design of steel concrete wood and masonry structures in accordance with relevant codes and standards.

Prepare technical specifications and contribute to project documentation.

Prepare structural analysis and calculation reports.

Coordinate with other engineering disciplines project managers and clients to ensure efficient project execution.

Conduct site visits inspections and structural assessments to evaluate structures conditions and provide recommendations.

Ensure project deliverables meet quality budget and schedule expectations with little supervision.

Provide technical or operational guidance to less experienced engineers EITs and technicians.

Stay updated on industry codes regulations and best practices to ensure high-quality design solutions.

Bachelors degree in structural engineering six (6) years of experience as or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Holding security clearance or the ability to obtain secret level security clearance

8 years of experience in structural engineering after receiving the . Experience in structural design of industrial plants commercial buildings government facilities municipal infrastructures and transit stations.

• Proficiency in 3D structural analysis modeling and design software including but not limited to ETABS STAAD Pro SAP2000 SAFE as well as other computer-aided design tools relevant to this role.
• Good written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency essential).
