Cost Planning Analyst

As a Nuclear Estimator, you will prepare, review, and present discipline estimates for specific project proposal activities. In this role, you will provide estimating assistance and guidance to projects, develop conceptual estimates, and perform cost analysis. You will be responsible for assisting in the development of discipline estimates, developing, and updating historical databases, and assisting in the development of department procedures. This position is based in our office in Oakville.

Determine installation quantities based on drawings and specifications.

• Prepare cost estimates on work for major projects locally and across Canada.
• Review the owner's plans and specifications to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project; Review all tender and contract documents and advice from the home office legal department.
• Coordinate with other disciplines such as planning, scheduling, procurement, and proposal team.
• Maintain a professional and trustworthy relationship with clients, professionals, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with estimate team on continuous improvement initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in nuclear estimation with relevant industry experience.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in estimating for major projects.
• Experience in nuclear industry is a great asset.
• Excellent communication English skills.
• Advanced computer skills, knowledge of MS Office, and Bluebeam software is an asset.
• Must be willing to travel as required to visit project sites or meet with clients for estimate specific needs.
• Well organized, flexible, team player, detail oriented and multi-tasked.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
• Work overtime and weekends as required.
