As an Operations Manager at Siemens Energy, your day is dynamic and collaborative, starting with team check-ins to review progress and plan upcoming projects. You’ll lead a team of field service experts—Field Service Engineers, Winder Technicians, and NDE Service Technicians—while fostering development and growth opportunities to expand their capabilities and add value to the organization. You’ll coordinate with global networks (UK, US) to leverage resources for Canadian operations and oversee critical service activities, including outage planning and technical delivery with trade craft teams, ensuring seamless integration with partners like Bruce Power, Point Lepreau, and Pickering. Projects often draw on Siemens’ global expertise to solve complex challenges, from resource management to optimizing operational processes for customer success. Your leadership drives a culture of safety, integrity, and continuous improvement, while advancing customer satisfaction and Siemens Energy’s mission to deliver reliable, sustainable energy solutions. Manage recruitment, training, personnel development, discipline, HSE, and performance for the Operations Group, ensuring team competency and compliance with business standards
Provide single point of contact for Field Service, Offsite Engineering, Planning resources, and support business execution of projects to fulfill customer contract requirements
Collaborate with product lines and business groups for personnel support, outage coverage, and operational improvements, including process continuous improvement and monthly reporting
Oversee operational systems (SAP, Salesforce, Fieldglass, Workday) and ensure departmental processes and procedures are fit for purpose
Support bid management team with operational costing and scheduling information for new projects
Manage offsite repairs, contractor onboarding, and liaise with business groups for finance and purchasing needs
Engineering or Technical Degree (or equivalent) with in-depth training on Siemens and OEM units including Parsons technology
Minimum five years’ experience working on Siemens and OEM installations in a service capacity, with significant customer exposure
Willingness to travel for assignments and support cross-functional teams across Canada, SEI USA, and Parsons technology product lines
Strong leadership in team management, HR processes, and staff development, including merit and hiring processes
Expertise in operational systems (SAP, Salesforce, Fieldglass, Workday) and process improvement initiatives
Effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including support for bid management and operational costing
The Operations Management team is responsible for building, mentoring, training and developing skilled professionals in dynamic field service roles to produce best in class safety and service to our power generation customers as OEM experts. Operations management groom new hires and develop existing experts to be allocated to a respective district in Canada in line with their area of expertise and customer demand. Fournir un point de contact unique pour le service sur le terrain, l’ingénierie hors site et les ressources de planification, et soutenir l’exécution des projets pour répondre aux exigences contractuelles des clients.
Collaborer avec les groupes commerciaux et responsables des gammes de produits en ce qui concerne le soutien du personnel, la couverture des pannes et les améliorations opérationnelles, y compris l’amélioration continue des processus et l’établissement de rapports mensuels.
Superviser les systèmes opérationnels (SAP, Salesforce, Fieldglass et Workday), et veiller à ce que les processus et les procédures du service soient adaptés aux objectifs.
Soutenir l’équipe de gestion des soumissions en lui fournissant de l’information sur les coûts opérationnels et le calendrier des nouveaux projets.
Gérer les réparations hors site et l’intégration des entrepreneurs, et se concerter avec les groupes commerciaux en ce qui a trait aux besoins en matière de financement et d’achat.
Diplôme technique ou en génie (ou l’équivalent), et formation approfondie sur les pièces d’origine et de Siemens, y compris la technologie de Parsons
Au moins cinq années d’expérience dans les installations de Siemens et de pièces d’origine au sein d’une fonction de service, avec une grande visibilité auprès des clients
