Automation System Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time
The Automation Systems Programmer Toyota Programs will be responsible for developing, integrating, and commissioning PLC, HMI, and robotic systems in alignment with Toyota production environments and standards. The role will focus on Toyopuc / Toyopac PLC platforms and FANUC robotics, delivering highly reliable, standardized automation solutions that meet Toyota safety, quality, and performance expectations.
Working closely with mechanical, controls, applications, and machine build teams, the programmer will support concept validation, implementation, and onsite commissioning while driving consistency, robustness, and continuous improvement across Toyota-focused projects.
Automation Programming & Integration
Develop PLC, HMI, and robot programs using Toyopuc / Toyopac PLCs and FANUC robots, in accordance with BOS and Toyota customer standards.
Integrate PLC, robotic, safety, and motion systems with reliable device communication and I/O interfacing.
System Testing, Commissioning & Optimization
Install and test offline programs; Commission equipment at BOS and Toyota customer sites, including communication setup, I/O checks, unit testing, and final system validation.
Toyota Applications & Technology
Program Toyota-typical applications including material handling, welding, dispensing, and automated assembly.
Configure FANUC robotics welding systems, servo motion systems, and supporting automation hardware as required.
Work closely with project managers, designers, trades, systems engineering, and customer representatives to deliver compliant, fully functional systems.
Create clear, structured manuals and troubleshooting documentation suitable for Toyota customer use.
Maintain project QCCs, FAT/SAT roadblock lists, and adhere to BOS, Toyota, and safety standards.
Act as Project Lead when assigned, providing technical guidance and coordination as required.

As an Automation Systems Programmer, you will play a key role in delivering highly standardized, reliable automation systems for complex manufacturing environments.
