Director of Strategic Finance
The Director of Strategic Finance at Karis is a key role responsible for developing and executing our strategic vision. They will lead cross-functional work in terms of providing strategic guidance on investments, business case development, financial planning and analysis, resource allocation, and performance measurement.
The key areas of focus and responsibility include strategic/long-range planning, capital allocation modeling, and development and execution of agile financial planning processes (budgeting and forecast) all supported by insightful reporting and analytics to help drive a culture of performance at Karis.
The Director of Strategic Finance embraces the Christian Faith Foundation of the organization; ensures the Christian ethos and the Values, Vision and Mission permeate their job responsibilities; Improved reporting and analytics on service gross margin and forward margin planning along with working capital targeting, reporting, and management.
Formalized capital planning process across Karis including post-implementation reviews.
Develop and deploy tools to improve accuracy and efficiency in planning and reporting activities.
Support performance culture by partnering across functions to establish meaningful financial metrics and goals for measuring performance with a focus on improvement actions.
Close coordination with the Director of Financial Reporting and Control, on topics including financial reporting, revenue and margin planning, operating expense planning, etc.
Lead the long, medium, and short-term cash flow forecasting for the organization.
Support the preparation of Board presentations and materials.
Must have experience leading complex enterprise planning processes in a mid to large size organization.
High aptitude for complex problem-solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis.
Experience in a not-for-profit environment is an asset.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful analysis for non-technical audiences.
GAAP knowledge and accounting experience is advantageous to this role.
Project management skills and experience considered an asset.
BA/BS degree or equivalent in Finance/Accounting/Business; CPA/MBA.
