CpK Interior Products Inc. is hiring a Tool & Die / Mould Maker to support our Maintenance team in cross‑functional operational activities. This role is responsible for maintaining, testing and repairing all aspects of equipment, and machinery. Working within the Engineering and Maintenance Team to increase efficiency, production quality and volume. Applying principles and techniques of mechanical engineering to accomplish goals. Familiar with a variety of mechanical concepts, practices, and procedures. Focusing on quality standard for quality improvement through a formal commitment to excellence, cost efficiency and reliability while contributing to SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale) objectives.
Understanding of machinery installation, assembly, maintenance, service, repair, and overhaul
Start-up and testing, shutdown operations, renovating and restoring, rigging and handling
Troubleshooting of computer-controlled equipment and application of resolution
Stainless steel welding, gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), obtaining Hot Work Tickets
Application of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) techniques
Operate grinders, welding equipment, gas and air dryers, heat exchangers, automated and robotics systems, electrical and electronic controls, lathes and other machining tools, power tools, fans and blowers, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems as required
Utilization of power transmission systems, press brakes and metalworking equipment
Detection of irregularities and malfunctions, construct foundations for machinery
Estimate the time and materials required and obtain from stores
Plan and organize job tasks and job materials using a systematic process
Reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, oral communication
Support company's quality initiatives
Certificate of Qualification as a Tool & Die Maker (430A) or Mould Maker (431A)
At least 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably automotive
Strong mechanical and assembly Skills
Hands-on instrumentation troubleshooting an asset
Experience with hydraulic systems a definite asset
Knowledge of basic electrical theory is an asset
Basic software knowledge required, entering work tickets into a maintenance database
Must be able to lift and move up to 40lbs using proper lifting techniques and assistive devices
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision
Reading, writing and communication in English
Training period will include working both days and afternoons to support best opportunity for learning
Schedule: Day Shift, 8.5-hour shifts, with mandatory weekend shifts when scheduled as per customer demand
Pay: $43.47 per hour , as set out in applicable collective bargaining agreement (CBA)
