Schedule: 70 hours bi-weekly; Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM (Nine-Day Fortnight)
This position works in the Strategic Initiatives org unit. This is project facilitation work in supporting the timely advancement and processing of development applications. An incumbent of this class establishes and oversees a schedule for application processing, facilitates resolution of project issues, and liases with internal and external parties to ensure that development related work is completed to achieve service level targets while meeting City bylaws, policies and requirements. participates in process improvement projects to achieve customer service, quality, efficiency, and cost savings objectives; and leads smaller-scale projects. An incumbent tracks operational performance goals and metrics to drive continuous improvement exercises and initiatives to support strategic, operational, and financial decisions. Considerable independence and judgement is exercised in all aspects of the work while performance is reviewed for the effectiveness, achievement of desired objectives and conformance with established guidelines and standards. Qualifications include Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Real Estate, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline, plus Project Management, Lean/Six Sigma, Agile and/or Procsi certification preferred including sound related experience in land use, land development and/or municipal approvals as a project facilitator; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. This is a temporary full time position until March 8, 2027.
