Health Educator I

Amant supports over 5,000 people in Manitoba with developmental disabilities, autism and acquired brain injury. Amant, the Clinical Educator works collaboratively across all St.Amant programs while offering employees and people supported respectful customer service. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Programs and Services, Health and Transition Services, the Clinical Educator is a critical role in ensuring the success of St.Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required

Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)

Course work/certification in adult education is preferred

Minimum of four years related nursing experience with demonstrated clinical practice competency relevant to the assigned area

Previous experience in teaching in a healthcare setting required

Familiarity with online learning modalities and Microsoft Office is required

Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professional Act (RHPA)

Developing and/or implementing all necessary learning modules to support the strategic vision of the designated clinical program;

Engaging in collaborative activities (e.g. regional working groups, communities or practice) to enhance clinical practice, promote evidence informed practice, and work towards a goal of improved overall efficiency and system performance;

Modelling Inter-Professional Practice through the use of collaborative practice model, shared decision-making and engagement of the person supported and/or family in the planning of care

Amant is a bilingual organization. Proficiency in both official languages (French/English) would be considered an asset.
