Geotechnical Engineer (Remote Work)

WSP is currently seeking a highly motivated Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our Ground Engineering and Materials Team based in Vancouver, BC. You will join our highly successful team, using your skills to assist in the execution of various high-profile and critical projects throughout BC and the Yukon.

A degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological Engineering as well as a professional engineering license in British Columbia (registered with EGBC).

You have an intermediate level of experience in the geotechnical field, ideally with consulting experience;

Experience in heavy civil geotechnical engineering applications including roads and highways, water and wastewater, tunneling and trenchless methods, slope stability, and numerical analysis;

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong verbal and written communication in English are essential.

Strong technical, oral and written communication skills;

A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience as a Geotechnical Engineer, Geological Engineer, or related position;

Exceptional analytical and project management skills;

You’ll be responsible for managing geotechnical projects of various sizes;

You’ll be responsible for leading proposals, making engineering decisions, and the delivery of projects;

You'll be working with more senior engineers to provide technical services in a field and office environment related to geotechnical engineering;

You'll be communicating regularly with the wider WSP geotechnical community across Canada;

Participating and contributing to a team environment and being a strong communicator;

You'll be representing WSP in the community to raise local brand awareness.

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
