HR Consultant - Remote

The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting the Canada HR team by engaging in various human resources functions, including supporting on employee relations, talent management, onboarding, performance management, HR reporting and compliance. The successful candidate will also work closely with our Indigenous Relations PAIR Task Force providing HR guidance and helping to recruit and onboard Indigenous Employees.
This is a temporary position that may be eligible for conversion to direct in the future. This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include both in-office presence and telecommute / virtual work, to be based in either Mississauga or Markham, Ontario Canada.
Employee Relations: Address manager and employee inquiries and concerns, leveraging our Employee Centre, coach managers on employee matters and help , mediate conflicts, and ensure a positive work environment.
Performance Management: Assist HRBPs during annual performance and rewards cycle with manager engagement, coaching, reporting and follow up
Active member of the PAIR Task force providing guidance and helping to develop and deliver on employee experience focused items such as recruitment support and onboarding for Indigenous employees.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies, maintain employee records, and help manage HR documentation
HR Reporting: Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field plus at least 4 years of experience in HR roles, preferably as an HR Generalist or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Strong knowledge of HR practices, labour laws, and regulations.
Previous experience with PAIR and/or indigenous communities is preferred
Relevant HR certifications
Previous consulting / professional services company experience
Proficiency with Workday
Proficiency in English and French
