Journeyperson Apprenticeship: We help MEARIE Level 1, 2, and 3 certified Meter Technicians complete required apprenticeship hours by pairing them with our Journeyperson Meter Technicians.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician who wants to apply their hands-on expertise in metering, electrical systems, and energy management while contributing to meaningful work that supports a cleaner energy future. The role offers a high level of independence, allowing you to manage projects from start to finish while working with a supportive and safety-focused team. It’s also a chance to grow professionally by mentoring apprentice technicians and gaining exposure to a variety of energy systems and technologies in a forward-thinking company
Provide technical services in the areas of electrical systems, metering, power systems and energy management services
Install, test, and commission retail and wholesale metering systems
Travel to client sites across Ontario to support metering installations, maintenance, and field work
Able to manage projects with minimal supervision to completion
Completed or working towards Journeyperson Meter Technician Certification or equivalent
Background in electrical power distribution, metering, protection and control or electrical systems
Willing and able to travel across Ontario (up to 80%)
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively complete tasks
Knowledge of and experience with computer software such as Microsoft Office and meter specific software
First Aid and CPR certificates and knowledge of EUSA and the OHSA are assets
Hourly rate: $25 - $50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
