The Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for a variety of medication related duties including the ordering, preparation, packaging, shipping, distribution and maintenance of controlled medication inventories. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 2111 Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications: High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications: Completion of a Canadian recognized Pharmacy Assistant program. Demonstrated communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work in teams and independently.
Preferred Qualifications: 1-year recent pharmacy practice work experience. Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred. Candidates with barcoding experience are preferred. Use of Epic software/familiarity with Connect Care workflows.
