Software engineer junior (IT)

We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Developer to join a specialized sustainment and project team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating technical specifications into high-quality, tested applications. You will work across the full stack, with a focus on C# .NET, Angular, and Oracle databases. • Modern Tech Stack: Gain deep experience with current enterprise technologies like Angular 17 and Azure DevOps.
• Contribute to high-priority infrastructure projects that support essential service delivery.
• Benefit from a structured onsite role with consistent business hours and clear performance expectations.

Write and maintain code for web-based applications using C# .NET Framework 4.8+ and modern frontend libraries.

• Translate technical system specifications into working code, conduct unit tests, and maintain existing software packages.
• Database Integration: Develop applications that store and retrieve data using Oracle 19c and PL/SQL.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve technical problems and performance issues in web applications and Windows services, including diagnosing issues in environments where server access is restricted.
• DevOps Support: Use GIT for version control and collaborate with release teams to support Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for automated packaging and deployment.
• Accessibility Compliance: Ensure all web application development adheres to the (AODA) and WCAG AA standards.
• Sustainment Activities: Support urgent infrastructure upgrades, changing business needs, and cluster-wide platform sustainment.

Software Development:

• Experience troubleshooting performance issues in web applications and Windows services.
• Proven ability to develop for multiple web browsers and versions.

- Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in C# .NET Framework 4.8 or later.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle 19c and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Angular (v17), including TypeScript, RxJS, and NgRx.
• Bootstrap, jQuery, Lodash, and Material.
• Experience using Visual Studio 2017/2022 and Azure DevOps/GIT.
• Knowledge of XML and basic administration of Windows and Linux operating systems.

Eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to asking for help.

- Experience in Agile/Scrum team environments.

Previous experience in a large-scale organization of equivalent size is an asset.
