AECOM Buildings + Places sector is seeking a Structural Engineering Technologist for immediate employment for the Edmonton / Calgary , AB office with opportunities for hybrid work.

AECOM Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture, all the building's engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Project assignments may include, although not limited to: Transit and Municipal, Commercial, and Institutional projects, Justice, Education and Government.

Conduct structural drafting / 3D BIM for concrete, steel, and wood buildings

Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety and code requirements.

General understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.

Works in engineering project collaboration software platforms (i.e., ProjectWise, BIM360, Autodesk Construction Cloud)

Self-checks drawings for quality assurance

Performs the responsibilities under limited supervision

College diploma in Engineering Technology + 2 (two) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Proficient in 3D Revit/BIM drafting

EIT, C. Able to develop and advance drawings from conceptual to detailed design stage

Familiar with software such as: AutoCAD 2015 or later, Autodesk Revit Family/BIM Software and MicroStation V.Relocation is not available for this position.
