Road construction, asphalt paving, aggregate production, hot mix asphalt and ready-mix concrete supply are the core activities. In addition, the Company acts as general contractor on civil construction projects, including excavation, utilities, concrete placement, sidewalks, and curbs, and in all kind of road construction related activities.
Over 800 jobs every year are performed through more than 20 decentralized business centers, such as highway rehabilitation, airport construction, industrial, municipal and commercial work, subdivisions. Terus Construction, a divison of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking an Asphalt Roller Operator based in Cranbrook, BC.
Determine speed and direction of machine based on knowledge of compressibility of material under changing temperatures.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Driver’s License (Class 5)
Experience in the industry an asset
Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
Ability to work overtime as required
Must be able to work outdoors in areas that are dusty or dirty.
The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $35-$38 CAD per hour .
