Job Summary:The Field Supervisor is responsible for helping move jobs forward in the field by coordinating site activity, supporting trades, communicating with homeowners and Project Managers, and completing hands-on work when needed. Additionally, they are responsible for overseeing the development of all field staff at PFF. This role plays an important part in keeping projects organized, efficient, and on schedule. The Field Supervisor should have a strong understanding of the restoration process, with practical skills in carpentry, drywall, painting, and customer service, along with experience supporting flood and emergency response work in the field.

- Oversee field operations and help manage the Paulson team to ensure work is completed to company standards.
- Supervise crew performance on site, provide direction, and support team productivity throughout each phase of the job.
- Complete hands-on repair work including carpentry, drywall, painting, and other general finishing tasks as needed.
- Support flood and emergency jobs by attending site visits, checking conditions, completing documentation, and helping move the job into the next phase.
- Review mitigation work already completed and assess what is needed to prepare the site for repairs.
- Coordinate subtrades, labour, and materials based on job needs, timelines, and site conditions.
- Communicate clearly with homeowners, Project Managers, and internal teams about job progress, site updates, and next steps.
- Identify issues early, solve problems on site, and help prevent delays or missed steps.
- Assist with scoping repairs, documenting changes, and communicating added needs from the field.
- Complete smaller repair jobs from start to finish when needed, including site supervision and trade coordination.
- Take site photos, update job notes, and keep project files current in company systems.
- Make sure crews and subcontractors are following safety standards, site expectations, and company procedures.
- Support, guide, and help train team members in the field while maintaining strong quality of work.
- Stay organized, follow deadlines, and help close files in a timely manner.
Compensation
Wage: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour (based on experience)
The position is eligible for relocation benefits as well which includes:
- Moving Cost Reimbursement
- Up to 60 Days of Temporary Housing
- Travel cost Reimbursement
- 2-5 additional paid days off depending distance and complexity of move.

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the restoration industry preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in trades, construction, or renovation preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of repair work, including carpentry, drywall, and painting.
- Previous supervisor or manager experience is considered an asset.
- Experience supporting both emergency mitigation and repair phases of restoration projects.
- Comfortable completing site visits, moisture mapping, documentation, and field assessments for flood and emergency losses.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suit is preferred.
- Able to use systems and tools such as Restorify, DocuSketch, and other job-related software.
- Understanding of basic building requirements and permit processes is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions on site.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage conflict professionally.
- Safety certifications such as First Aid Level 1, WHMIS, Fall Protection, or similar are preferred.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Exposure to project management is an asset.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation as required.
- A class 5 BC Driver's license.
- Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
