As Sous Chef, you are a key leader in the kitchen, supporting the Chef de Cuisine in the day-to-day operation of your venue while ensuring excellence in execution, team performance, and consistency. Support the Chef de Cuisine in overseeing daily kitchen operations across all service periods.

Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and precision.

Lead during service as required, maintaining pace, structure, and clear communication across the kitchen.

Provide clear, direct coaching and feedback to support skill development and consistency.

Support ordering, inventory control, and product handling to minimize waste and maintain cost targets.

Quality, Safety & Standards

Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards, maintaining a clean and compliant kitchen.

Monitor food quality, portioning, and presentation to ensure consistency across all dishes.

Work closely with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless and elevated guest experiences.

Contribute to a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.

Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume, upscale, or luxury environment.

Solid understanding of kitchen financials, including food cost, labour, and inventory management.

Deep knowledge of culinary techniques, trends, and best practices.
