The General Accountant is responsible for managing the daily cash flow of the hotel, ensuring the proper handling of cash transactions, and overseeing payroll processing. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Handles all cash collections, deposits, and disbursements in a secure and organized manner.
Prepares daily bank deposits and maintains accurate records of cash transactions.
Ensures compliance with cash-handling policies and internal controls.
Works closely with Front Office and other departments to resolve any cash-related discrepancies.
Processes payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
Maintains payroll records, including timesheets, attendance, and leave management.
Handles payroll-related queries from employees and resolves discrepancies.
Ensures confidentiality and security of all payroll data.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
Strong understanding of payroll processing, taxation, and cash handling procedures.
Proficiency in accounting and payroll software.
