In collaboration with nursing other hospital staff and various community services provides clerical and administrative support to maintain a progressive efficient organized healthcare environment that further enhances the patient and staff experience. The Unit Secretary operates maintains and orders different types of office and hospital equipment and supplies in a fast paced dynamic open concept setting. This position inputs data information for perioperative patient flow including confirming chart completion in EPIC print labels and completing patient calls in preparation for surgery and other duties support excellent care. The unit secretary will respond to telephone inquiries and call bells and communicates with staff patients and families.

Working knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Prior experience in an administrative/clerical role required preferably within a healthcare environment.
Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Office.
Demonstrates Customer Service skills
Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.

Experience in perioperative surgical flow.
Previous experience within the Unit Secretary classification.
