Like a language interpreter, historical interpreters at Fort Edmonton Park help translate Edmonton's unique and rich histories and cultures to guests from all over the world. Help our team by interacting with guests in unique and engaging ways while dressed in period wardrobe!

Interpret a period of Edmonton's history to the visiting public using a variety of methods, including conversation, re-enactment, role-playing, tours and hands-on activities/ demonstrations of historic and Traditional skills in historical wardrobe
Participate in high volume special events, outreach, media engagements, public events and other functions
Some experience with program delivery for the general public, tour groups, children and other program users
Asset:
Experience working in a museum, cultural centre or historic site
Ability to communicate in a second language
Ability to work in all weather and environmental conditions, including in the presence of allergens like bees, hay and animals
Embracing a culture of equity, diversity, reconciliation and inclusion
Successful candidates must be willing to sign a media consent form in accordance with City policy and participate in media events
