Manager - Audit & Accounting

We have partnered with an Accounting firm to help them hire an Audit Manager where you will lead audit, review, and compilation engagements while providing high-quality service and guidance to clients and team members.
You will oversee engagements from planning through completion, review staff work, resolve accounting and reporting issues, and build strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is a CPA with at least four years of public accounting experience and some tax review experience. ***This is a hybrid role that requires you to work 2 days a week in office
The main job duties for the Audit Manager include the following;
Lead and manage audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion

Review working papers, financial statements, and other client deliverables for accuracy and quality

Review T1 and T2 tax returns and tax provisions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax requirements

Identify and resolve accounting, auditing, tax, and reporting issues

Serve as a key client contact, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to meet evolving client needs

Strong technical knowledge of accounting, auditing, and Canadian tax

Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities effectively

Strong communication and client relationship management skills

A collaborative leadership style with a focus on coaching and developing team members

Commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional client service

CPA designation is required

Minimum 4 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on audit, review, and compilation engagements

Experience with T1 and T2 tax returns and tax provisions is required

Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and tax requirements

Experience supervising, mentoring, or developing junior staff is an asset
