Inside Sales / Sales Representative / Customer Service

As an Inside Sales Representative youll sell low-voltage electrical wire cable and custom cable assemblies/harnesses to OEM manufacturers and other industrial users across Ontario & Eastern Canada. Youll be responsible for reactivating a large database of dormant/past customers developing new business and growing smaller assigned accountsowning the full sales cycle. Founded in 1977 our client is a leading distributor (and producer of value-added assemblies) of electronic and electrical wire & cable. They serve OEM construction telecommunications and voice & data markets and provide custom cable and fiber-optic assemblies wiring harnesses and services like cutting/striping/paralleling. Youll join a collaborative customer-focused team known for responsive service and practical project-specific solutions
Head office: Mississauga ON (in-office)
Travel: Occasional local customer visits; no hand-offs to outside sales and no routine overnight travel.

THE PRODUCT/SERVICE

Low-voltage wire & cable plus custom cable assemblies and wire harnesses built to spec.
Youll re-establish relationships across thousands of past/dormant customers identify current buyers quote and close. Youll start with a portfolio of smaller accounts and keep the larger accounts you develop

PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS

Primarily OEM manufacturers using wire/cable inside equipment (machinery conveyors automation incubators).

PRODUCT & SALES CYCLE

High-volume warm/cold calling to dormant/past customers to verify buyers and re-open accounts
Manage and grow a starter book of smaller accounts ; move into larger accounts as you ramp
Prepare quotes enter orders in the ERP and follow through on delivery with purchasing support
Research/build new-logo prospect lists once dormant lists are worked
Occasional local customer visits as needed (no routine overnight travel)

SUPPORT & TRAINING

ISO-documented onboarding custom ERP (Syacc/Siac) training and on-the-job coaching: youll start calling quickly using a script tailored to your voice; quoting/product depth comes next with manager/senior-rep support. Team is highly collaborative and steps in to help new hires.
13 years of inside sales / account management (or strong transferable customer support multiple SKUs follow-through profile)
~ Electrical distributor/contractor sales background (e.g. Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Comfort with ERP/CRM quoting and order entry; able to learn wire/cable specs and read basic customer requirements to recommend the right product or assembly.
Build and keep the accounts you developno hand-offs
Real runway to grow into larger accounts as relationships deepen
