Automation Testing Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Automation Developer to lead the quality assurance efforts for large-scale enterprise systems. This role is designed for a technical QA professional who can balance robust Selenium-based UI automation with sophisticated API and Database validation. You will be responsible for identifying automation opportunities, designing structured test frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability of both custom and COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf) applications.

Technical Ownership: Lead the selection of tools and the design of automation strategies for high-visibility enterprise projects.

• End-to-End Scope: Work across the entire technical stack, from the user interface and API layers down to the backend database.
• Collaboration: Work in a structured environment at a prime location, engaging with diverse teams of developers, business analysts, and project managers.

Automation Framework Leadership: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium to validate complex application functionality across GUI and non-GUI environments.

• API & Integration Testing: Conduct deep-dive testing of RESTful APIs using Postman and SOAP UI to ensure seamless communication between enterprise service layers.
• Database Validation: Utilize strong SQL skills to perform backend testing, prepare complex test data sets, and validate data integrity throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Defect Engineering: Investigate and analyze defects, performing root-cause analysis in collaboration with developers and stakeholders to implement long-term solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify manual processes within the SDLC that are candidates for automation to improve overall organizational workflow and efficiency.

Automation Specialist: 3+ years of dedicated experience in Automation Testing, with expert-level proficiency in Selenium UI automation.

• Technical Stack: Proficiency in Postman, SOAP UI, and version control systems.
• SQL Mastery: Advanced experience writing and executing SQL queries for result validation and test data setup.
• Solid understanding of QA best practices, including test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting within structured methodologies.
