This role will be on-site, based out of the Distribution Center, 19295 25 Avenue, Surrey, BC. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, 40 hours per week. This role will require travelling as part of our Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) implementations and training provided to branches throughout Western Canada. Travelling for training and WMS role-out support will be required, typically in a 2-week rotation on site. The successful candidate must be flexible with working hours to accommodate training needs, as this may include occasional evenings or weekends.
As a Distribution Center (DC) Trainer , you play a key role in developing a safe, skilled, and efficient team. By training and mentoring new hires on DC procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use, you help build a strong operational foundation. Reporting to the DC Supervisors, you help drive performance, support team development, and ensure we maintain high standards across our operations.
You pride yourself on ensuring all details are covered, such as having a high attention to accuracy in picking and receiving.
You enjoy interacting with new staff and teaching, coaching, and mentoring. The ability to work independently and in a team environment to ensure the Distribution Center objectives are being met.
You will bring a desire to provide excellent customer service. We take pride in providing the best product, the best solution, and the best service with the best people for our customers.
There will be lots of hands-on work and being able to keep endurance in a high-paced environment, lifting up to 50lbs.
Previous experience as a lead hand and trainer in a warehouse environment is required
Forklift certification (Train the Trainer experience would be an asset)
First Aid certificate and experience would be an asset
Approachable demeanour and a positive "customer first" attitude and detail-oriented
Comfortable with technology, and the ability to learn new software programs
