The Finance team is looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst responsible for assisting with the month-end and year-end close. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented and have a strong desire to learn, be curious and strive for continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

You will be involved in our ongoing transformation from a traditional brick & mortar retailer to an omni-channel leader and tech-first fashion disruptor.

Manage the month-end closing process, including inter-company balances and analysis of variances;

• Maintain general ledger accounts by posting adjusting entries for ESOP, NCIB, RSU and DSU equity accounts as well as reconciling and posting IFRS 16 accounts;
• Assisting with analysis and reconciliation of payroll liabilities, prepaids, and fixed assets accounts;
• Work with the external auditors to ensure all requests are addressed on a timely basis to complete their audit;
• Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies, providing guidance to other personnel;
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures;
• Assist in the testing of the weekly payment run;
• Ensure the monthly internal controls for your allocated sections are documented and uploaded to Workiva;
• Participate in the improvement & implementation of process improvement projects for accounting processes and internal control procedures;
• University degree in Accounting;
• CPA professional designation;
• Adaptable and flexible in a changing environment;
• Knowledge and experience with Great Plains, an asset;
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
• Knowledge and experience of IFRS standards, an asset.
