Analyst Finance Senior

We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto office . Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.
You are an experienced FP&A analyst who is a whiz in end-to-end forecasting, budgeting and financial modeling. Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead forecasting, budgeting, and monthly financial reporting for the mortgage lending portfolio.
Analyze loan volume, pipeline movement, and portfolio trends to identify risks and opportunities.
Deliver variance analysis and actionable insights on key performance indicators and business drivers to senior leadership.
Develop, monitor, and refine mortgage pricing strategies to balance volume growth and margin optimization.
Assess profitability by product, channel, and customer segment.
Track and analyze loan origination trends, conversion rates, pipeline progression, and fallout.
Identify drivers of performance fluctuations and recommend corrective actions.
Data & Insights
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making.
Present findings to senior stakeholders in a concise and impactful manner.
Automation & Process Improvement
Identify and implement automation opportunities across reporting, forecasting, and data processes.
Streamline workflows using advanced Excel, Power Query, and other analytics tools.
Partner with data/technology teams to enhance reporting infrastructure and data quality.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CPA/CFA preferred).
- 5–8+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or mortgage lending analytics.
- Strong understanding of mortgage products, pricing, and lending lifecycle.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling).
- Insight-driven mindset with the ability to tell a story with data.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for automation and optimization.
