The Maritime Accounting Department is seeking an Accounting Administrator for a term position. This would be to fill a one-year maternity leave. The Accounting Administrator will work from the Moncton NB office, and report directly to the Senior Controller. Duties include but are not limited to:
Construction Job & Contract Setups in JDE & Invoicing
Update, maintain and report on project budgets and forecasts on a regular basis.
Prepare and submit journal entries to assist with monthly close processes
Assist the Senior Controller and Quebec Regional Controller in generating financial statements to complete monthly and annual reporting packages
Work with an independent audit firm for financial system audits.
Liaison with Senior Controller, Quebec Regional Controller, Senior Accountant, Division Manager and co-workers
Assist with Quarterly and Year-end inventory counts
Processing cash receipts for A/R
This position may also require assisting in other areas
Must be French-English bilingual

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Completion of a college program or courses in accounting or finance;
Experience in a related field of work would be consider an asset
Good communication and documentation skills with excellent interpersonal skills;
Conscientious worker, who can work independently or in a team setting with minimal supervision; and
Must be able to prioritize workload and work with deadlines on short notice.
