Wyse Meter Solutions Inc. provides turnkey submetering and utility expense management services to property managers, building owners and developers across Canada. Wyse is unique in its ability to provide energy consumption transparency and accountability to its customers.

Wyse is seeking a Project Manager to lead the end-to-end execution of commercial/retail submetering projects —including new construction, retrofits, tenant fit-outs, and meter reverifications—from site audit and contracting through installation, inspection, and final commissioning. You will coordinate internal teams and external contractors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and technical specifications.

Success in this role requires strong project management fundamentals, working knowledge of mechanical/electrical drawings, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders (property owners, tenants, site contacts, general contractors, and inspectors) throughout fast-moving, site-driven schedules.

Project Delivery (Commercial/Retail)

Own delivery of assigned commercial/retail submetering projects from audit through commissioning, ensuring clear scope, milestones, and deliverables.
Translate customer and site requirements into executable project plans, schedules, and cost estimates, including retrofit constraints and tenant coordination.
Manage project timelines and budgets; identify risks early, drive issue resolution, and escalate when required.
Coordinate mobilization, access requirements, site rules, and sequencing to minimize disruption to retail operations where applicable.

Technical Coordination & Design Support

Support development of site-specific submetering system designs (metering, comms, panels/rooms, gateway placement) using technical knowledge and field context.
Review and mark up mechanical and electrical drawings to confirm installation readiness and identify constraints.
Confirm system performance through testing and commissioning; validate readings, communications, and data flow required for billing.

Contractor, Vendor & Stakeholder Management

Liaise with third-party contractors and vendors to ensure equipment and services are correctly specified and fit for purpose.
Provide clear instructions to contractors performing installations and field work; ensure quality, documentation, and adherence to plan.
Coordinate work planning and information flow with internal Project Managers, Coordinators, and cross-functional teams to support timely design, installation, and commissioning.
Maintain proactive communications with customers, property teams, and site contacts; manage expectations and ensure smooth handoffs to billing/support.

Field Support & Operational Excellence

Support efficient completion of field services and maintenance by guiding troubleshooting of suspect meters, zero consumption, broken communications, and faulty readings that may impact billing.
Identify process improvement opportunities across project execution, customer service (meters-down/billing-impact issues), and cost control; Reporting & Sales Support

Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing progress, risks, and trends; Contribute to sales administration through commercial/retail pre-audits, feasibility studies, and special requests; provide technical and installation guidance to support proposals and customer expectations.

Maintain a strong health and safety record and promote Wyse’s quality and safety objectives on every site.
Support team objectives and perform other related duties as assigned.

2–3 years of project management experience in utility/submetering or
~3–5 years of project management experience in related industries (construction, electrical contracting, building systems).

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical preferred) or
College certificate/diploma in an electrical or mechanical discipline with strong relevant experience.
Credentials: PMP designation is an asset.
Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills; ability to manage budgets and schedules.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, customers, contractors, and inspectors.
Ability to read and mark up mechanical and electrical drawings.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management/scheduling tools; Active learning - seeking and leveraging opportunities to gain new skills, knowledge, and experiences; Communication skills – ability to present information to management and clients; Strong computer skills – strong working knowledge of relevant programs and comfort working with large amounts of data
Planning & Structuring - knows how to establish work plans, efficiently allocates or makes use of available resources, act according to plans and establishes priorities

Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
Some travel is required, mainly within Ontario, but also could include rest of Canada.
Client sites’ visits as needed.
