Accounting Supervisor - Payroll

Accountant

Miles HR has an opportunity for an Accountant to join the finance team of a well-established family owned company located in downtown Vancouver. Reporting to the Controller you will be responsible for accounting tasks including bank reconciliations, GST payments, posting sales and a/p entries and month end financial statements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. This position is best suited to the candidate who is currently enrolled in the CPA program.

Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and balance sheets.

Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

Reconcile bank statements and manage payroll processes.

Assist with tax preparation and filing.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Enrolled in CPA program preferred.

Proven experience as an accountant.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

Experience with New Views an asset.
