Intermediate UX Designer
Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto ( Onsite : 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
This position is provisionally Onsite , requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM , Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Akkodis is seeking an experienced Intermediate UX Designer to support the design and delivery of user‑centred digital solutions. The successful consultant will apply UX best practices to create intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging experiences across web and mobile platforms, working closely with product owners, developers, and stakeholders in an Agile delivery environment.
Contribute to the design and enhancement of user‑centred digital products across web and mobile platforms
Apply UX and Service Design best practices to support end‑to‑end delivery across Discovery, Alpha, Beta, and Live phases
Collaborate with product owners, developers, researchers, and stakeholders within an Agile (Scrum) environment
Support usability, accessibility, and responsive design standards to ensure intuitive and inclusive user experiences.
Iterative design updates informed by usability testing and stakeholder feedback
Design documentation aligned with established design systems and service design frameworks
Participation in design reviews, stakeholder presentations, and usability validation sessions.
Extensive experience applying UX design best practices, with deep knowledge of mobile‑first and responsive design
- 3+ years of experience working on complex digital projects of varying size and scope
- Proven experience incorporating user‑centred design processes and Agile (SCRUM) methodologies
- Expertise with UX tools such as JustInMind, InVision, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, Axure, and Zeplin
- Experience working with Service Design frameworks and established design systems.
HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills (React, Angular, NodeJS)
Experience working with Azure DevOps
Knowledge of network security concepts and protocols.
