Manufacturing Technician, CNC Optics (Weekend Shift, Level A)

Schedule: Friday - Sunday 7 AM - 7 PM

This position is responsible for generating and polishing optical components (precision lenses) using CNC machines with 3, 4, and 5 axes; 2 axes and 2 mechanical axes equipment. Operates various precision optics CNC dual-spindle technology and axis design machines with a sound technical problem solving skills. Perform final inspection of complicated optical elements.

Set up CNC programs; Precision Optics CNC

Precision Optics CNC

Polish optical components; both Precision Optics CNC and Diamond Turned CNC

Support the development of new manufacturing processes and make improvements to current manufacturing processes

Diploma in Photonics or Mechanical Engineering Technology or a minimum of 12 months experience in a related discipline

Strong technical knowledge, capabilities

Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision

Ability to effectively operate complicated equipment such as Precision Optics and Diamond Turned CNC and associated equipment
