We’re looking for a Specimen Processing Laboratory Assistant to join our team in London, Ontario. As a Lab Assistant you will be responsible for processing of laboratory specimens and/or entering requisitions and/or results accurately and in a timely manner and ensure quality control checks and standards are run as required. Permanent, Full-Time, (Guaranteed 37.5 hours a week)
Shift: Evening Shifts, 3:00 pm –11:00 pm; Monday - Friday and rotational Saturday's, 12:00 pm -5:00 pm
Laboratory and Health Services Centre
Start Date: As soon as possible

Ensures that all samples are properly identified, data enter, and labeled
Completion of secondary-school level education and a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant training program
Experience providing exceptional, professional customer focused service in a demanding and frequently changing environment
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) at an intermediate level
Knowledge of laboratory procedures and ability to apply that knowledge in troubleshooting issues and providing recommendations for solutions
Knowledge of AS400 Data Entry system/LIS
Normal office environment
Medical laboratory environment
May sit or stand for prolonged period of time with extensive computer use
Pay rate: $19.75 -$23.50 per hour
