Equinox Engineering is seeking a motivated Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Process to join our team in Calgary, Alberta Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level engineer to gain practical, direct experience in process design and operations within a collaborative and dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior engineers, contributing to process simulations, calculations, and the preparation of technical documentation.

This role is well suited for individuals who are enthusiastic about learning, eager to contribute to multidisciplinary projects, and committed to developing skills and expertise in Process Engineering.

Assists in performing process simulations and modeling for various engineering projects.
Supports the development of material balances, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) under the guidance of senior engineers.
Contributes to the preparation of heat and material balances, equipment process data sheets, line sizing calculations, pressure safety valve (PSV) sizing and other required technical documentation.
Collaborate with senior engineers in the analysis of process systems, including heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and mass balances.
Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards (i.e. Supports project teams with budget tracking, scheduling, and overall technical coordination.
Works closely with vendors, clients, and multidisciplinary internal teams to develop effective engineering solutions.
Provides assistance during facility commissioning, start-up activities, and operational troubleshooting efforts.

Base understanding of Chemical Engineering principles, including thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
Foundational knowledge of process system design, mass transfer, heat integration, and pressure relief systems.
Familiarity with process safety practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance standards.
Proficiency in MS Excel, HYSYS and other process simulation software.
Maintain a client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and solutions.

Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from an accredited institution.

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation or eligibility for registration with APEGA.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in an EPCM, process engineering, or related industry.
