Part time Shift Nurse - RN/RPN

The Emergency Department is currently seeking a Permanent Part-Time Registered Practical Nurse to join their team. Department/Unit/Program Description
RMH is a medium sized hospital that provides 24 hour care to Emergency Room patients. Graduate from a recognized Registered Practical Nursing two year diploma program or RPN Certificate with completion of continued education courses in advanced physical assessment, and medication administration
Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Minimum of two years recent medical/surgical experience
Sound knowledge of nursing process, theory, and responsibilities to the profession
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work well with patients', families, community agencies and the entire emergency department team
Experience in performing patient health teaching
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of community resources
Willing to complete Emergency Department medical directives self learning package, IV and blood administration within RPN scope of practice
Epic trained or ability to train and pass testing

Must be able to work twelve [12] hour days, Monday through Sunday which will include statutory holidays. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
