Finance Transformation Banking Manager

The Director - GWM Transformation Financial Oversight is responsible for providing direction, leadership and oversight of the financial processes and governance for Global Wealth Management's investment spend.

Directly influencing and aligning investments to strategy that will impact the business line results and performance in the short and long term

Managing financial reporting and continuously improving financial intelligence and providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations

Governance of initiatives at different stages through the investment lifecycle

Advancing business cases through the review and approval process in-line with project policy and standards

Manages the process to design, build and maintain the integrated management information infrastructure within the Global Wealth Management business. This responsibility includes integrated systems of management reporting, profitability reporting and both strategic and tactical research & development analytics to support the division's major initiatives.

Drive effective resource utilization and capacity with technology partners during planning and forecasting throughout the year.

Publish monthly/quarterly financial results and work with key stakeholders to continuously understand upcoming areas of spend / investment need, within affordability.

Deepen relationships across the Bank to drive a customer focused culture. Sustain strategic partnerships and collaboration across BL finance teams, EO, technology and Global Wealth Management businesses.

Directly influence and align investment to strategy - across business, technology, operations - that impacts business results in the short and long term.

Ensure effective financial management of investment spend including guiding new investment proposals through the formal business case process, reviewing current investments, and managing the ongoing measurement of benefit realization.

Provides recommendations and business decision support to GWM's senior management in identifying opportunities, evaluating strategic initiatives, and resolving issues of concern of a financial nature.

A University degree and an accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA) with solid working experience in the financial management field.

A good understanding of Wealth Management operations and business activities

Strong management and leaderships skills and high degree of flexibility and creativity to deal effectively in a rapidly changing and complex business environment

Strong financial analysis, control and reporting experience
